Luanda de Hilster has reached an exciting milestone in her musical theatre journey: she has been cast as Miss Adelaide in the University of Central Oklahoma’s upcoming production of Guys and Dolls. As a rising junior, this marks her first lead role at UCO — a major achievement in one of the nation’s most competitive musical theatre programs.

Known among her peers and mentors as a true triple threat, Luanda brings a rare blend of vocal strength, expressive dancing, and natural comedic timing to the stage. Adelaide, one of musical theatre’s most beloved characters, demands exactly that combination — humor, heart, and technical excellence. It’s a role that fits her perfectly.

Luanda has already earned recognition for standout performances, including back‑to‑back nominations for Best Supporting Actress in high school for her roles in The Drowsy Chaperone and Hello, Dolly! — both comedic, high‑energy parts that showcased her versatility and charm.

Guys and Dolls runs September 25–28, 2025 at UCO’s Mitchell Hall, and anticipation is already building. Friends, family, and supporters from across the country are planning to attend and cheer her on as she steps into this iconic role.
